The Supreme Court of India ruled on September 7, 2025 that the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) is now mandatory for all teachers β both new and in-service β to continue teaching in CBSE-affiliated schools. All in-service teachers without CTET certification must clear it within the stipulated timeframe.
As per CBSE Affiliation Bye-Laws Clause 16.1, all affiliated schools must ensure their teachers undergo the following training every year.
